I'm still alive..

Oh my gosh, my last entry is from February? :O Holy cow, that’s a looong time ago.. Yeah, I know,, I should have written something after that, and especially write something about my last weeks in Minnesota. But I guess I was just too busy. I wanted to spent as much time as I could with family and friends over there. And I did. Maybe I can sum up my time from February to June.. Ok, I’ll try. Oh, and why I’m writing in English? Well, I wrote in German when I was in the US, now that I’m in Germany I thought it would be cool to write in English, and maybe I can keep this blog up for the people in Minnesota now, so they know what’s going on over here. I will think about it, if there’s enough interested people I might.
Back to my last  4 months in the US. (wow, I seriously didn’t write anything about the whole time? Not even about Prom? I’m such a bad blogger… :D )
Anyways, my last entry was from the Timberwolves game, what happened after that? Well, there was Easter. That was pretty nice. My teacher from Bulgaria came to visit me for some days and went then on a little road trip for a week. Unfortunately our cat Ford died just the day before Easter
L I was really sad, but we were expecting it already, I mean he was already about 17 years old.. So, on Easter we visited with family, the little ones were searching for Easter-eggs, that was funny. We had a good time, and a lot of good food :P
Oh yeah, we also went to the Minnesota Zoo this month (I think?) with Edie & Jason. That was fun. We got to spend some time together, and the Zoo was really big and had a lot of fun and interesting animals to look at. There was a Dolphin show, this and the monkeys were my favorite :D
My birthday was also in April, yepp, I’m 17 now. I went bowling with some friends, and I had an awesome birthday cake with the American Flag printed on it (thanks again to my hostfamily :D) I remember that I got a Twins T-shirt, because we were planning on going to a Twins game, but unfortunately it rained out, and we couldn’t watch it..
L (well, next time, right?)
Oh right, there was Prom, too. A really, really exiting day, and I was so nervous about it :D Prom was on May 12th, and I went with some senior friends. I’m soooo glad they took me with them
J (Jenn, if you read this, thank you tons! J ) It really was fun, first our group of about 10 people went to lake George to take some pictures. They turned out pretty good. Then we went to eat something at Apple Bee’s (jummy!). At about 6 o’clock we headed to school, to line up for Grand March. I was soo nervous, well, I didn’t really know whats going on :D I know we waited for more than an hour, And I was second to last. (oh, for those who don’t know what Grand March is: It’s just a thing where you line up with your partner and go on a stage in the gym to kind of “show of” your dress, and yeah, it’s also just an opportunity for people to take pictures). After the March we could go to the actual Dance, in the Commence. Also, Prom has a theme every year, this year it was Circus. There was a big tent, and a lot of stuff you have in a Circus: Cotton Candy, Popcorn, other delicious food, games, and even a photo booth. Well, when everyone was there the DJ turned up the music and everyone danced until midnight. I was soo tired when I came home, but also happy. J
Hmm, what else interesting happened? Oh, there was my trip to Wisconsin Dells with Hayli and her family. That was fun! We stayed in a hotel for a whole week, and the waterparks were fun too. I was so happy to get out of school for some days, haha :D
Then, in the end of May, I went to a Nickelback concert with Jason! That was soo exciting, I mean it was also my first real concert! We drove there right after school, with Tammy and Jonathan, and watched all 4 opening bands. The awesome thing was, we also got free upgraded seats! So we were in the 4th row! At about 9 Nickelback came on the stage, and then everything rocked! :D It was awesome. Just that I had to get up for school the next day wasn’t so fun, but school was almost over anyways, so I didn’t have much homework.
Oh yeah, end of school! That came fast, too. Graduation was 4 days before school ended (on May 31st) and I had to play in Band that day. It was pretty exciting, everything looked just like in all these High school movies! The black robes and the hat (I forgot how you call these..) I managed to find some of my friends in the big crowd afterwards, and took some picture. I was a little sad I couldn’t be a senior that year.
We also got out yearbooks a week before school ended. It’s pretty big and heavy, but an awesome memory. A lot of people signed it and I love looking at it.
After school finished, I had only 2 weeks left. I did a lot with friends, especially Hayli, Kyle, Mark and Jake. Hayli and me went biking a couple times, once we went fishing, some days we had a bonfire. Of course I spent some time with Edie and Jason too. The day in the Munsinger Garden was a great opportunity for pictures. Well, of course time past far too fast, and my goodbye party was coming closer. It was on June 10th, 5 days before my flight back to Europe. It was an amazing day! A lot of family and friends came, and everyone had fun. Edie planed out stuff really good
J They even made goodbye videos for me to watch on the plane, and cards with notes. And I got so many gifts, I didn’t even expect any. Everyone ate, and talked, and took pictures with me, until it got later, and some friends stayed to watch movies in the basement. I was really happy, but also sad, knowing the day I have to leave comes closer.
And then, on June 15th I had to get ready. (I better don’t tell you how much I had to fight with my luggage.. It was horrible..) Fortunately my flight was later, so I could have a last lunch with neighbors and friends. We took some rides with the golfcard, and took some more pictures. Until I had to say goodbye to most of them. When I was in the car with Edie, Jason, and Hayli, I looked, and saw everyone standing there and waving. I almost cried (or maybe I did). When we arrived at the airport in Minneapolis there wasn’t too many problems with my luggage, actually everything worked out pretty good. Now I had some minutes left with those 3, but soon, I had to go to the check in. I don’t know how many times we hugged. I know it was a lot. And it was so weird to go through the control thing, and know I won’t see them again soon. It was so unreal. I was sitting there at my Gate waiting for my flight. And on the plain I finally opened all my cards from people, and watched the videos. Of course it made me cry again. The things the people wrote made me miss them even more. It took me more than 19 hours to finally arrive in the airport in Germany. I was so tired, and happy to see my mom again. When we got home it was almost midnight. I was so tired, but before I went to bed I remembered the letter from Hayli (I was forbidden to read it before I get to Germany) It was 6 pages long..! And of course it made me cry again (thanks Hayli :P)
Well, now almost 2 months passed since I got back, and I still miss everyone so much. And I’m so thankful for everything everyone has done for me. I found so many new friends, gathered so much experience and have a second family and home in America. I hope I can come back soon, and I hope no one will forget me over there :P

Well, here in Germany school starts in about 3 weeks, so I have to get ready for a new school again soon. Let me know if you’re interested in reading more sometimes on my blog… Like I said, I might keep it up.
For now goodbye, and take care! J
